The short version

This is a static website. Everything you type and every image you export is produced by your own browser, on your own device. There is no server here that receives your work, and the PNG you download never passes through us. There is one exception, and it is easier to state up front than to bury: our session-replay tool saves a small, low-detail picture of the canvas, so we can see where the generator gets in people’s way. It is described under Analytics below.

A picture you choose as a background is read by your own browser and drawn straight onto the canvas on your device. The file itself is never uploaded — there is no server here to upload it to, and it disappears from the page as soon as you close the tab. It does appear inside the low-detail canvas picture described under Analytics, because that picture is a copy of how the canvas looks.

What we do not collect

• We have no accounts, so we hold no names, no email addresses and no passwords.
• The words you type are never transmitted to us as text. They are legible in the low-detail canvas picture described under Analytics, in the same way they are legible on your screen.
• The PNG files you export are created on your device and saved by you. The exported file itself never reaches us.
• The background image file you pick stays on your device. It is never uploaded and never stored by us, and it disappears from the page as soon as you close the tab. How it appears in the canvas picture is explained under Analytics.
• We do not sell or share personal data, because we do not hold any.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count page views and to see which pages people arrive on, so we know which parts of the site are worth improving. Google Analytics sets cookies and records a truncated version of your IP address, the page you are on, and general information such as your browser and country. It does not receive the text you type or the images you make. You can block it with any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics scripts, and the generator will keep working exactly as before.

We also use Microsoft Clarity, a service run by Microsoft, to understand how the generator is actually used — which controls people reach for, and where they get stuck. Clarity sets cookies and records a playback of your interactions with the page, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, together with the same general information as above: the page you are on, your browser, and your country. These recordings are held by Microsoft on our behalf and are used only to improve this site. The boxes you type into are masked by Clarity and cannot be unmasked, but the canvas is not: a small, low-detail picture of it is saved a few times during a visit, showing the curved text as it appears on your screen — including the words you put on it and any background image you added. We use those pictures for one purpose, which is to find the places where the generator gets in your way. If you would rather something were not recorded, do not put it on the canvas. Clarity can be blocked by the same browser settings and extensions that block analytics scripts, and the generator will keep working exactly as before.

Fonts and other files

The fonts used by the generator are served from this site itself, not from a third-party font service, so loading them does not expose you to another company.

Payments

There is nothing to pay for on this site at the moment, so no payment details are collected and no card number ever reaches us. If paid options are added later, the payment will be handled by an established payment provider, this section will name that provider and say what it receives, and card details will pass directly to it without ever touching this site.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
